I'm back!

Busy couple of weeks for the Shuman family. We spent labor day weekend with the rest of the Shuman clan (pictures to follow). Nate, Piper, and I then spent Tuesday to Friday with my parents in NJ. Friday my parents drove us back to New Haven. Saturday morning we went to a birthday party for another neighbor who turned one year old and that evening a birthday party for a couple who both just turned thirty. Tomorrow is Nate's four month check up and second set of vaccinations so I'll let you know how that goes.

Nate is as adorable as ever. He is much less gassy and a lot more giggly these days. He's able to amuse himself for more than a few minutes which means I am better able to get the wash done, dinner cooked, bed made (sometimes), etc. His big problem is still SLEEP. He is waking up every 2-3 hours every single night. We try to get him to bed by 8:30 and his first wake up is usually around 11pm. UGH. I'm hoping tomorrow his doctor will give us the go ahead to start rice cereal because he does seem to be hungry every time he wakes up so perhaps just milk isn't cutting it anymore.

With cooler weather comes cute pjs!

Nate doing "The Nate Dance". Be sure to check out video of this at the end of the post.

Uncle Wilson trying his hardest to make Nate smile.

Nate did not comply.

Nate and Jim
(Edward's parents are waiting to see what grandparent names Nate comes up for them, so for now it'll be Jim and Jane)

Buddy and Piper doing the doggie dance. Sadly the two didn't hit it off.

Nate got a kick out of it

so tired

Jenny joined us for a delicious dinner at Farrell's. Sadly they no longer offer the Ring Ding cake for dessert. :-(

Rob came for a visit, too. He and I have been friends since kindergarten.

My grandma joined me, my parents, Nate, and Piper for the ride back to New Haven. The weather was horrendous but we enjoyed a nice lunch at Consiglio's and Grandma got to finally see our apartment.

Preppy baby! He later added a navy blue, cable-knit cardigan to complete the look.

baby boy bloomers :-)

Stretch!

Nate traded in Maddie's swing for her super cool excersaucer. Thanks Maddie!

Nate's first giggle caught on camera. Jessie got him to do some good ones when we were in NJ and Edward can now consistently get him to giggle.

He is ridiculously cute. His eyes and lashes in the header picture are insane. I want to see him in person again soon!
