NJ

Edward was at Penn State for a few days last week where he gave a presentation to fellow physicists so Nate, Piper, and I spent some time at my parents' house.

Remy was also visiting. It was a full house!

modeling his new sneakers

walking with some assistance from Mormor

Enjoying Sesame Street and the new exersaucer my parents bought for when Nate visits.

Sarah and Maddie came for a visit. Here Nate's moving in on one of Maddie's colorful buttons.

Some serious cuteness...

cousins enjoying Sesame Street (they really don't watch as much tv as it might seem)

Without prompting, Maddie scooted closer to Nate and put her arm around him...

Too cute!!!

She then got even closer

and started gently patting his face

I hope they always get along so well!

Piper thinks she is the queen of the world perched up on the mountain of snow

This balloon has provided hours of entertainment

I think Nate looks so grown up in these sneaks

laughing at Piper--business as usual

Does he need glasses?

He's come a long way...

one day old

three months

six months

and now nine months (as of Feb. 3)

To celebrate his nine month birthday Nate got to try his first Oreo (well, just a tiny taste).

He had his nine month checkup on Friday and here are the stats:
weight - 20lbs 5 oz (50th %)
height - 28.5 inches (50th)
head circum - 47 cm (90th)
I am happy to report that he is doing well. That was not the case a few weeks ago. In mid January we lost our sweet, content Nate to screaming-arching his back-throwing his legs-can't sleep-won't eat or nurse-Nate. After a few weeks of misery we took him to the doctor and all symptoms pointed to acid reflux. We got him started on Prevacid one week ago and he is back to his old happy self. Thank goodness!

Enjoying a wagon wheel while watching Sesame Street

Nate hates pureed vegetables (peas, squash, and green beans have all made him gag and wretch) but enjoys carrots and broccoli in their non-pureed state.

Valentine's Day 2009

and Valentine's day 2010

Poor Piper was desperate to get in on the action

Edward took these next two pictures to show me what happens when I leave Nate (and by leave I mean take a two minute shower).

Actual tears! How pitiful!

Not to worry, Nate made a quick recovery. He was eating dinner until he got distracted by some Piper action. Edward pulled out his laser (see him in the background) and Nate got a kick out of Piper jumping on the wall trying to catch the light.
