It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

A woman from church called a few weeks ago and asked if I would make my cow cookies (they started as cow spotted cookies back when I was in middle school but now of course I make them in many shapes, colors, and designs) for a Christmas party this Friday. My first official order! It was a real challenge to get them done with Nate on my hands (his two half hour naps today didn't leave me much free time) but by the end of today I had 70 beautiful cookies.

Another day, another tooth

Yesterday Nate's 4th tooth popped through. This time it was his lower left central incisor, so for those of you keeping track, it's three on the bottom and one on top. He has been sleeping terribly, like up every 2-3 hours screaming, and I guess it's the teeth. I'm hoping this improves before Christmas.

My good friend Jenny visited this weekend and we had a great time hanging out. The weather was cold and icky so we stayed holed up in the apartment most of the time.

Nate's favorite holiday decoration

Warming up with hot chocolate after a very cold and windy walk on Friday.

That cookie master hard at work

Nate wore his "our little cookie" shirt (thanks, Melissa!) for our afternoon of baking.

Dinner (mangoes) followed by bath time

Don't you love the leg casually dangling over the side ?

Tooth #3

This morning in church Nate was arching his back when I noticed his upper right incisor tooth had cut through the gums. Maybe that explains why he slept so poorly last night. I can't believe he already had three teeth (all on the right side). I will miss his adorable gummy smile.

My friend Jenny is visiting for the weekend and we've been having fun lounging, baking, and talking. Tomorrow I'll post pictures from her visit.

weekend and whatnot

Various members of my family and Edward's family met up at my parents' house over the weekend to attend the Rutgers/WVU football game on Saturday. My dad has great VIP seats and the men enjoyed the game, despite the icky weather.

My parents just completed a major renovation on the entire downstairs and little of the upstairs. The house looks amazing!!!

tuesday evening--decorating our lovely tree

Nate's second tooth popped through a few days ago. It's not the other central incisor, but a lateral incisor, so he has both right incisors at this point. Hopefully the teeth on the left will make an appearance soon. Nate heads back to the doctor tomorrow for another round of flu shots. He's been doing well with solids, although not with sleep. He slept through the night ONCE and never again. Back to getting up twice a night--ugh. He has mastered rolling and rolls all around the family room. He just woke up from his nap so I must go tend to him! More updates later!
